Welcome to Technology and Computer Science at GCVS.

It's so wonderful that here at GCVS you have the opportunity to explore some of the many concepts and skills necessary for making the use of the technology safer and easier. But a great bonus of taking technology/computer science course is to provide you with skills for the workplace and to prepare you for a changing digital era world.

Technology is changing the way we do everything, from School, Banking, How we drive our Cars and even to how we visit other planets. It's used to solve big problems too, like climate change, the need for clean air, and water, and how to manage the world's garbage. As well as, how to harness renewable energy, reduce highway accidents, and make a better world.

Technology is managing our social world too; with social media, how we connect to one another, instant information, and the billions and trillions of bits of data about us, our world, our behaviors, and even how to find us.

No matter what type of advancing technology is being developed, all of it begins with programming. Programming is the conduit from human to machine and in all cases when written properly, programming can do very complex and amazing things. Such as build that awesome video game you love, or analyze air quality and through artificial intelligence suggest best solutions to improving it.

Programming is at the crux of online security and insecurity. It allows us engage in worlds that don't even exist and gives us the power manage daily life more efficiently.
