As you take Litchfield Road and head away from Surprise, take a left onto Cactus Road at the Cactus/Litchfield Road stoplight.  Take the first right off Cactus Road and you will drive down a short roadway.  Take the "turnabout " to the gate to the left.  As you head through the gate, drive toward the building on the far right with “13659” imprinted on the front of the building: Classroom 120.

When you come to the gate to get into the wastewater plant grounds, you will need to get someone to open the gate.  There is a telephone by the gate that rings into the office.  Call it and tell them you're there for the ADEQ testing.  Then go to the building with "13659" imprinted on it.

Testing fee is $89, plus a PurplePass handling fee.

Check in 1/2 hour prior to test

All testing is online; therefore, you may take any test at any location and time.  Once you have found the correct date and time, click onto the hyperlinked date.  It will take you to the appropriate PurplePass ticket.  Once you have completed your order, you will receive email confirmation from PurplePass.  Bring a copy of the email receipt with you, along with appropriate photo identification, when you check in to test.  

All tests are given in the 2017 ABC Edition.  It is advised that you look at the NEED TO KNOW materials that are found HERE.

If you find that you need to change your test date and/or your test type, contact Maggie at operatorcert@gmail.com as quickly as possible.  She will be able to either make the changes prior to your test or she may suggest that you request a test type change with the proctor on the day of the test.

BATHROOM POLICY:  Testers are NOT allowed to use the bathroom facilities while taking the exam.  Therefore, be sure to use the facility prior to testing. 

The only exception is for testers with frequent urination/bladder continence issues.  If you have bladder issues, you will be allowed to use the bathroom... BUT ONLY if you provide a doctor's note to the proctors.  Further, the bathrooms will be checked before and after you are done and if anything is found it will be reported and you will not be allowed to finish your exam.

DO NOT CONTACT ABC FOR ANY CHANGE REQUESTS FOR THESE TESTS.

2023/24 TESTING SCHEDULE

Surprise is private for employees of Surprise.  If there are available tickets near test time, they will be opened to the public. 

NO SHOW POLICY!

If you purchase a ticket and DO NOT show up for your test, your ticket WILL NOT be rescheduled.  You will lose it.  Instead, you must purchase a new ticket for the next test.  The only exception to this rule is if you have contacted Maggie prior to the test with your excuse for not showing, (or within a day after the test with your excuse of your emergency) and she will reschedule your test. Our summer schedule will run in mid-July through August.  Testing will be conducted only in the Phoenix area at that time: GateWay-Phoenix, Surprise, Glendale, and Gilbert.  The dates/locations will be posted in early July.

Our Fall testing schedule will begin in September and the dates/locations will be published on this website in late July.
