Guidelines Before You Start Your Exam
It is the tester's responsibility to KNOW the date and time of their test. If you show up at the wrong time, you will be sent away and have to get rescheduled. The date and time are listed on the PurplePass email confirmation slip, and it is your responsibility to bring the confirmation slip with you and show up at the right time. It is also your responsibility to KNOW what test you want to take and if the wrong test is listed, it is YOUR responsibility to request that you be given the correct test.
NO SHOW POLICY!
If you purchase a ticket and DO NOT show up for your test, your ticket WILL NOT be rescheduled. Instead, you must purchase a new ticket for the next test. The only exception to this is if you have contacted Maggie prior to the test with your excuse for not showing, and she will reschedule your test.
Register as early as you can because there is limited seating that gets filled up quickly. Tests are closed and processed two weeks prior to the test.
We do not manage "waiting lists." Once the PurplePass ticketing is closed, the opportunity to purchase a ticket for that date is also CLOSED. That means that even if there are a few unfilled seats, we do NOT sell tickets after the PurplePass tickets are closed and processed.
This is an online test; HOWEVER, you must take the test in the presence of one of our proctors at a specific location in the state.
Since testing is online, you are able to choose any test for any location and date.
Check with your management and make sure you’re free to take the test on the date chosen.
You are allowed to take ONLY ONE EXAM per test session. If there are two test sessions in one day, you may take an exam in each session... BUT YOU ARE ONLY ALLOWED TO TAKE ONE TEST PER SESSION.
All exam orders are final. We do not give refunds. Make sure this is the right test and date that you want to purchase.
When you pass, and if you still have paid tickets that you have not used, you may use those tickets on other water certification tests for up to six months after purchase. However, we do not and will not refund them.
You must have at least a high school diploma or GED and you must present a photo ID (any state or government issued driver’s license or photo ID on or before January 1997, or a current passport)
Make sure your email and telephone contact information are correct as that is how you will be contacted. Your test score will be sent to your “registered” email address. If there is a typo in your address, you will not receive your mastery report.
Studying is NOT ALLOWED in the vicinity of the Testing Center at GateWay.
Operators must hold the lower grade level certificate (ie...Grade 1) for one full year (365 days from your effective date), prior to sitting for the next grade level exam. Operators may check the effective date of their certificate(s) by using the Operator Certification Database.
When you check in, it is YOUR responsibility to make sure you have the RIGHT test AND the correct math conversion table that coincides with the test. The proctors will also focus on this but it is your ultimate responsibility. The proctors will give you the conversion sheets to use.
BATHROOM POLICY: Testers are NOT allowed to use the bathroom facilities while taking the exam. Therefore, be sure to use the facility prior to testing.
The only exception is for testers with frequent urination/bladder continence issues. If you have bladder issues, you will be allowed to use the bathroom... BUT ONLY if you provide a doctor's note to the proctors. Further, the bathrooms will be checked before and after you are done and if anything is found it will be reported and you will not be allowed to finish your exam.
