This Grade 8 design project focuses on empathy-driven and inclusive design. Students will develop their understanding of design principles by prioritising the needs and perspectives of diverse users. Throughout the project, students will iteratively create and refine their prototypes using both 2D and 3D communication methods, ensuring their designs are both functional and accessible for all intended users. By engaging in this process, students will learn the importance of empathy in design and the value of inclusivity in creating solutions that benefit everyone.
