Leopard geckos (Eublepharis macularius) are a ground dwelling lizard. They are a predatory species which hunt opportunistically and primarily consume invertebrates. Leopard geckos are able to re-grow their tail if it is lost, an ability called autotomy. In captivity they can live for 10-20 years.
