Crested gecko
Crested geckos (Correlophus ciliatus) are a mostly arboreal species, which means that they spend most of their time off of the ground. They like to climb and rest in foliage. They have microscopic hair-like projections called setae on their feet which allow them to adhere to a wide range of surfaces including smooth surfaces such as glass. This can be affected by a range of factors, such as the humidity of the enclosure, stuck shed, and poor nutrition. Crested geckos can live for 15 to 20 years and are crepuscular. Unlike the leopard and gargoyle geckos, crested geckos cannot re-grow their tail if it is lost (autotomy).
