The Gainesville High School special education department will create an inclusive environment for all students. The special education department will collaborate with each member of the school community to ensure all students feel included in the school community. The special education department will use research-based programs to assist students who require remedial support. Students who require remedial instruction in reading will have access to the Read 180 program for direct instruction. The Learning Lab will provide a place for students to take assessments with accommodations and will be staffed by a teacher throughout the day. Our state-of-the-art sensory room will provide support to our students with autism.
