Curriculum Vision

The Gainesville HS Band Program offers the following ensembles for Band students to continue developing their instrumental performance: 9th Grade Cardinal Band, Percussion, Symphonic Band, and Marching Band (after school). Students will develop fundamental skills of individual performance, ensemble playing, and music literacy. These skills will be applied daily to our Solo & Band Literature and will be performed at concerts and performances throughout the school year. Students are expected to rehearse and prepare for class in a professional manner, and to maintain their skills through outside practice at home.

Supplies

Students will need the following Materials for Band:

1. 1. Instrument (can be rented from School or local music store)
  2. Method Book (as assigned in Syllabus, approx $5-10 each)
  3. Concert Music (as provided by Band Director).
  4. Concert Attire (Rental and purchasing options will be provided in the Fall)

Fees

1. The Marching Band will have Band Dues to cover the costs of music, drill, instructional staff, props, and other supplies needed to have a successful season. Exact amount due will be shared in Marching Band Paperwork process.
2. Rental Fee of $60 for School owned instruments.
3. Rental Fee for School-Owned Concert Attire, Amount TBD.
