The orchestra program will work on the elements of orchestral performance and musical literacy, including theory, history, and composition. The student will refine knowledge, technique, and literacy though a wide range of approaches. Opportunity for self-evaluation, reflection, and critique of the performance achievements of the individual and the ensemble as a whole will be given throughout the course. The students will develop an understanding and appreciation of the global musical world they live in both culturally and historically.
