Overview

        Historical Architecture in Providence and Rhode Island in general sometimes reflects the life of the Indigenous people in this area as well as the slave trade that took place in and around this area. Most of this history, however, is often hidden from the public view because this history of slave trades and settling in America is something that Rhode Island is not very proud of. However, this architecture is very important to what Rhode Island is like today.
