Primary Social Activity: Naming Feelings

We are going to practice our skills for naming our feelings by playing “Naming Feelings.” First, review the rules with everyone who will play the game with you.

Remember the rules are:

1. Rule 1 is, one person at a time picks a feeling card out of the bag.

2. Rule 2 is, the same person acts out the feeling on the card while others try to guess the feeling.

Steps:

1. Draw one picture of a feeling on each small piece of paper.

2. Cut out and fold each piece of paper so the picture cannot be seen.

3. Put all the cards in a bag.

4. First person picks a piece of paper out of the bag and acts out the feeling to the group.

5. Participants take turns guessing the feeling.

6. After the feeling is guessed the person who correctly guessed the feeling, picks a new feeling card out of the bag for the others to guess.

EXAMPLES OF FEELINGS YOU CAN DRAW ON YOUR PIECES OF PAPER: Happy, Sad, Mad, Surprised, Worried, Silly, Scared, Angry, Sick, Tired, Frustrated, Jealous, Excited
