Fraction Find Scavenger Hunt

1. Go find these objects in your house:

      • A plate

      • A book

      • A cracker or cereal box

      • A cooking pot

2. Use spaghetti noodles, pieces of string, or skewers to show how you can divide the shapes into halves and fourths. Note: You will need to pick one flat surface to divide. In school we call this a “face.” Have your child explain about faces of 3D objects.
