CNC ROUTER (ShopBot)

The ShopBot is a CNC-programmed gantry router that is able to perform milling, profiling, and drilling operations on large wood or plastic parts. The workpiece is fixtured to a 4'x8' sheet of sacrificial plywood mounted to the work surface of the ShopBot. A CNC program is written in CAM software, or on the ShopBot computer. This machine has a bit of a learning curve to use, so make sure you go through the tutorials or work with someone that knows what they're doing. When in doubt, talk to Drew.
