The Harvey Mudd College's Student Machine Shop ("Shop") is a three-room facility with

• CNC mills

• CNC lathes

• SawStop

• 3D printers

• Heat treating equipment

• And more!

The Shop is run by a faculty member, a staff member, and two students and is open to the entirety of the Claremont Consortium. Courses such as E4 and Engineering Clinic make extensive use of the facilities.

A dedicated staff of student Shop Proctors run the daily operations of the shop, including overseeing student projects and ensuring safe operation of machines.
