Schedule Change Process
The last day for a schedule change for the 2020-2021 school year is May 1, 2020. Any changes after this day will be entered into a Google Form. Students requests will only be honored if the course in which they wish to add has space. It is imperative that students make changes early or their request could be denied. Electives will not be changed regardless starting July 31, 2020.
The ONLY schedule changes that will be considered once school starts are listed below and only applicable during a certain window of time:
Student is a senior and needs a course for graduation
Student is scheduled for a class in which they have previously earned credit.
Student is scheduled for a class for which they don't have the required pre-requisite
Add or Drop a UIL activity such as athletics, band, choir, etc.
Moving from an on-level to a Pre-AP or AP course
Student was dismissed from a program where approval must be granted for placement
The student does not have a full schedule
The student is in a program where the director or sponsor has requested the change
Schedule changes will NOT be considered for the following reasons:
Teacher change
Specific lunch request
Requests to change an elective
Dropping an AP or Pre-AP class, students must wait until the drop period to make these changes
