The last day for a schedule change for the 2026-2027 school year is April 17, 2026. Student requests made by this date will only be honored if the course they wish to add has space. It is imperative that students make changes early or their request could be denied. Electives will not be changed.
The ONLY schedule changes that will be considered once school starts are listed below and only applicable during a certain window of time:
Student is a senior and needs a course for graduation
Student is scheduled for a class in which they have previously earned credit.
Student is scheduled for a class for which they don't have the required prerequisite
The student does not have a full schedule
Moving from an on-level to an Advanced or AP course (within the first week of school)
Add or Drop a UIL activity such as athletics, band, choir, etc.
Student was dismissed from a program where approval must be granted for placement
The student is in a program where the director or sponsor has requested the change
Schedule changes will NOT be considered for the following reasons:
Specific teacher requests
Specific lunch requests
Specific period requests
Requests to change an elective
Requests to change a core class to a different core class of the same level
Dropping an AP or Pre-AP class. Students must wait until the drop period to make these changes
