Advanced Placement (AP)
Advanced Placement (AP)
Advanced placement courses provide college-level curriculum that is prescribed by College Board. AP courses carry a GPA on the 5.0 scale in Hays CISD. Students in AP classes are expected to complete more reading, writing, and problem solving assignments. Students can register and pay the fee to take an AP exam in May. Scores from the exams are sent to colleges and universities selected by the students. Based on student's scores and the university credit policy, the student may earn college credit.
