Arts and Humanities

Arts and Humanities Endorsement is a curriculum path that allows students to focus on courses related to fine arts, foreign language, and social studies. These pathways provide multiple ways to earn an Arts and Humanities endorsement. If you love to create, this is the endorsement for you.

Hays CISD students must earn the required 26 credits for graduation which includes a sequence or 4 credits from a chosen program of study to meet the endorsement requirement.

Arts and Humanities Pathways:

• Social Studies

  • • Earn five social studies credits

• LOTE (Language other than English)

  • • 4 credits in the same language

    • 2 credits each from 2 different languages for a total of 4 credits

• Four credits in a coherent sequence in Fine Arts

  • • Band

    • Choir

    • Drill Team

    • Dance

    • Visual Arts

    • Performing arts
