Information on 2025 travel support (for WINGS-QSTEP students and SPRING GX students linked to WINGS-QSTEP)
To promote the development of self-motivated and globally active researchers, travel support program is offered. Please apply actively.
Travel expenses (up to 600,000 yen) to attend international conferences held overseas and present the results of their own research will be subsidized.
Applications may be submitted at any time (as a general rule, at least two months prior to the start of the itinerary)

Intel-UTokyo Joint Symposium
The Intel-UTokyo Joint Symposium will be held on Monday, December 16th between Intel Corporation and the University of Tokyo as detailed below. We are now accepting applications for participants (maximum of 90 people). If you would like to participate, please apply using the link below. Participation will count as one QSTEP seminar. 2024 Autumn recruitment for M1 students
WINGS-QSTEP has been advancing the education of doctoral students in the field of quantum science and technology. Starting in the 2024 academic year, it will be relaunched as the World-leading Innovative Graduate Study Program for Quantum / Semiconductor Science and Technology (WINGS-QSTEP), expanding its scope to include semiconductor science and technology. Additionally, it will become an integrated master's and doctoral program. We are pleased to announce an online explanatory session for the fall application (tentative deadline: late July) for first-year master's students (enrolling in April 2024).

Q-STEP Kick-Off Symposium will be held on Aug. 3rd 2023
On the occasion of the launch of the Q-STEP program, we are planning to hold a kick-off symposium inviting the faculty members, students, and sponsoring companies. Information about the Career Support Office
The Career Support Office established by the School/Faculty of Engineering and the School/Faculty of Science aims to support the career development of the students in related departments. Please find the information about internships and seminars from the website of Career Support Office.
Call for Participation: Research Internship
Outline: Internship is a great opportunity for students to apply their skills and knowledge to variety of company’s research themes/topics. The minimal duration of internship is 2 months for master’s course students and 3 months for doctoral course students. The detail of internship including the date of commencement, duration of the internship and research themes will be fixed after individual counseling. Please refer to the internship themes, and contact to GMSI Program Office with your supervisor’s approval. If a student internship meets the requirement of "Engineering Competency II(3799-147)", he or she will receive the credit. The credit will be registered by GMSI Office, therefore, you don’t need to register it on UTAS during register week.
