Once Penicillin was discovered by Alexander Fleming in 1928, more humans became vaccinated against certain diseases. The introduction of penicillin has ultimately allowed more humans to have the ability to fight off bacterial infections for the first time in history. Penicillin and other antibiotics fight off diseases that have devastated human populations in the past, especially during war times. Penicillin being an essential antibiotic in WWII greatly reduced the number of fatalities from diseases.
2. The publishing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948 marked a shift in the governmental ideals of most societies from then on. In the document, there are 30 articles that cover the fundamental rights that each and every human is entitled to, regardless of race, religion, or any other status. The document also states that every citizen is born free and equal, and that everyone has the right to life, liberty, and security of person. These ideals of the universal declaration differs from past governmental standards because it is clearly stated that every human being should be given the same privileges, evolving from a world where certain groups of people were systematically oppressed, and unheard.
3. The World Trade Organization (WTO) promoted fair international trade between nations. It operated under factors of non-discrimination, predictability, and most importantly to reduce trade barriers. After the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) was established after WWII for the same exact reason as the (WTO), the global economy became more complex and nations became more independent due to its successes as far as reducing tariffs and achieving global economic growth. The WTO came into being because as time went on, the GATT failed to address and solve new issues regarding trade since the economy was becoming more economically advanced. In response, the WTO was established to try and solve these issues and maintain fair and equal trade.
