The Mughal Empire- was an early-modern empire that had control over some of South Asia in the 16th and 19th centuries.
The Mongol Empire-13th and 14th was the largest contiguous land empire.
The Ottoman Empire-14th and early 20th centuries dominated the mediterranean sea.
The Safavid Empire-Irans were most significant dynasty. Also one of the gunpowder empires.
