A Note From Coach JT Mistr

I began teaching Physical Education in 1999, moving to Frisco in 2004.   A native of Virginia, I graduated from The Virginia Military Institute where I was a member of their NCAA D1 wrestling team.  Upon graduation, I was commissioned and served on active duty as a US Army Armor (M1A1 Tank) Officer.

I have two children both of whom attended Pink, Griffin MS and graduated from Wakeland HS.  Audrey is a Graduate of Texas A&M Corpus Christi and serves as sales manager for Greystar Real Estate Management. Brady is employed in the construction industry in south Texas.

My hobbies include anything exercise related as well as riding my Harley, fixing "stuff", and consuming a good cup of coffee!

I am a life-long Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates (been some lean years!!!) fan.  I am an avid UFC fan as well - my favorite fighter of all time is the retired champion, Georges St. Pierre.  One of my bucket list items is to visit and hike all of the 63 National Parks.
