A Note From Ms. Lisa Alvis

My name is Lisa Alvis and I am your child's music teacher! Before coming to Pink I taught general music and orchestra as well as french horn at multiple school districts including Frisco ISD. This is my 19th year in music education and 6th year at Frisco ISD. I am thrilled to be a part of the Pink Community!

I have a bachelors degree in music education from Ashland University, a masters degree in music performance from The University of Akron, and I am Texas' first Suzuki brass instructor. The Suzuki method resonates with my passion to make the world a better place through music. Music is a tool to help bring a community together, cultivate creative thinkers, loving citizens, and excellent problem solvers. Suzuki also believes: “Children learn abilities best when they’re having fun" and that's certainly what we do in music class :)

Aside from teaching music I am also passionate about healthy living and am a Certified Whole Food Nutritionist and trained Flying Aerial Yoga instructor. I love being outside, exploring new places, playing numerous instruments, and spending time with my husband and our four kids.  

I feel so fortunate to be at Pink, and it's going to be a wonderful year!
