Ever feel like you wake up as a different woman every few days?
One minute you’re full of energy, ticking off your to-do list, and loving life. The next, you’re craving carbs, questioning everything, and wondering where your sparkle went.
You’re not alone—and you’re certainly not broken.
You’re cyclical. And that is powerful.
Welcome to the wisdom of the menstrual cycle. Not just your period, but the entire monthly rhythm that touches everything from your energy and mood to your creativity, appetite, and confidence.
This is exactly what we explored in my recent workshop: The Four Seasons of the Menstrual Cycle. And let me tell you—it was magic.
My own story starts with chronic eczema, hormonal chaos, and a deep disconnection from my body. I was put on the pill at 14 and spent years thinking my symptoms were just “normal.” It wasn’t until I burned out in my corporate HR role and turned to natural healing that I discovered the deep intelligence of the menstrual cycle.
Through training as a Nutritional Therapist and Women’s Health Coach—and years of living my own healing journey—I realised how misunderstood the female body truly is.
We’re taught to push through, ignore our intuition, and view our cycles as a nuisance rather than the powerful guide they are.
I created this workshop to change that. To teach women what we should have learned in school, in a way that feels empowering, accessible, and even beautiful.
In this workshop, I take you through each phase of your cycle—mapped as the four seasons. Here’s just a little taste of what we explore…
Winter – Menstruation
This is your time to rest, retreat and reset. Energy is at its lowest, but intuition is at its peak.
Many women feel tender, emotional or inward during this time—and that’s completely normal.
Your body calls for warm, nourishing foods like soups and stews, with an emphasis on rebuilding and grounding.
A favourite herb for this season? Raspberry leaf—a traditional uterine tonic that supports a more efficient bleed.
This is not a time to push through. It’s a time to pause. To listen. To honour what your body is letting go of—physically and emotionally.
Spring – Follicular Phase
Energy starts to build. Oestrogen rises. You might feel a renewed sense of motivation, creativity, and optimism.
Think fresh, vibrant foods—crunchy veg, zesty fruit, and lots of colour on your plate.
Nettle tea is a gentle way to support iron levels after bleeding and offer a subtle detox.
This is the phase where “doing” feels easier. It’s a great time to plan, connect, and say yes to new things.
Summer – Ovulation
Your inner glow-up. Confidence, libido, and energy peak here, as your body prepares to release an egg.
Many women feel more extroverted, flirty, or even superhuman during this phase.
Your body may crave lighter, cooling foods like smoothies, salads and fresh fruit.
Peppermint is a refreshing option that helps with bloating and offers a cooling effect.
This is the moment to shine. To book the meetings, ask for the raise, host the dinner party—or simply enjoy being in your full expression.
Autumn – Luteal Phase
As hormones shift, energy begins to drop. You may feel more sensitive, inward, or in need of space and comfort.
This is the season for root vegetables, roasted trays, and soothing, slow-cooked meals.
Tulsi (Holy Basil) is a beautiful adaptogen that helps soften the edges of stress and support emotional balance.
Many women struggle here because we’re expected to “keep going” at summer speed. But this phase holds its own wisdom. It’s a time for boundary-setting, introspection, and deeper connection with self.
In the full workshop, we go far deeper. We explore:
Why are women and men all whole different species of human
The hormonal changes behind each season
Why your metabolism, mood, and motivation shift each week
How to nourish your body through food, herbs and gentle practices
Ways to track and honour your own rhythm—even if your cycle is irregular or you’re post-menopausal
Tools like seed cycling, affirmations, and cycle syncing
How to work with your cycle, not against it
But we don’t just talk hormones—we talk life.
Because when you understand your body, everything else begins to make sense.
Here is a little taster...
Here are just a few of the reflections shared after the workshop:
"Joining Holly's workshop about the four seasons of the female cycle has really changed my mindset"
"Just attended an incredible workshop on the menstrual cycle and I'm honestly blown away. The session was not only super informative but also incredibly empowering!"
"Even though I have been through the change, I found the workshop to be extremely interesting and there was allot of information that I still found really beneficial such as Holly's 4-pillars of Healthy Hormones"
"This should be taught to girls to prepare them for their periods"
"The differences between women and men are now so much clearer. I finally feel validated for needing to rest at certain points of the month when my husband can happily stay energetic, focused and motivated all month long. Women, watch this with your boyfriends and husbands!"
