Joseph N. Castillo, Director
Mr. Castillo (pronounced kuh-stil-yo) has been the Instrumental Music Director at Troy High School since the fall of 2000. Duties include Warrior Band and Guard, Symphony Orchestra, String Orchestra, Wind Symphony, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Guitar. With his wife, Wendy E. Castillo, they are raising their children (Melina b. 2011 and Darien b. 2014) and enjoying music, camping, and relaxing when they can.

Hirem Rivera, Percussion Instructor
Hiram Rivera is a freelance percussionist. He has been teaching percussion at Troy since 2018. He studied percussion at CSU Fullerton and completed his Bachelor of Arts Degree in 2018. Hiram has performed with many symphony orchestras in the greater Los Angeles/Orange County. Hiram also has performing experience in the marching arts and enjoys teaching all styles of percussion. When he is not performing he enjoys biking, tennis and spending time with family and friends.
