Louisburg Magnet High School operates on a “Block Schedule” where students take four different classes each semester (fall and spring).
Each student is required to fulfill a minimum of 28 credits in order to graduate from high school.
This can include specific math, pathway or local requirements that might be outlined.
(Transfer students are evaluated based on prior academic history.)
Students typically take eight (8) classes each year. Each class is worth one (1) credit and it is possible to graduate with 32 credits.
9th grade: 4 courses during the fall semester + 4 courses during the spring semester = 8 Credits
10th grade: 4 courses during the fall semester + 4 courses during the spring semester = 16 Credits
11th grade: 4 courses during the fall semester + 4 courses during the spring semester = 24 Credits
12th grade: 4 courses during the fall semester + 4 courses during the spring semester = 32 Credits
