All hourly employees must take a minimum of 30 minutes for a duty free lunch break, approximately mid-day
Lunches cannot occur at the beginning or end of the work day
Lunches cannot be skipped
Best practice is taking lunch away from the work area (ie desk, office)
Hourly employees cannot volunteer their services, they must be paid for any work similar to the work they are contracted with the district
Hourly employees must record their work time accurately on their timesheets
Hourly employees are not permitted to work from home without prior approval from an administrator with the authority to grant the exception
Hourly employees must adhere to their work hours and work calendar unless prior approval has been made by an administrator with the authority to grant the exception
With prior approval, time may be flexed during the work week (which is 12:01 am Saturday – midnight Friday)
Someone different from the employee cannot clock in for the hourly employee
Salaries are determined by verified education, experience and applicable certifications/licensures as indicated by the Board approved salary schedule.
Employees receive a salary notice each fall to review and confirm their salary set up, education, experience, etc.
