Reflection

Module 6 has allowed me to reflect on my technology integration as a teacher. I use technology frequently in my classroom but the goal is to enhance learning and is something we all continue to grow at. I have been able to learn new technology tools to incorporate into my classroom and more seamlessly than possible. I have truly enjoyed creating this website with 21 tools to share with others and remind myself what I can use in lessons. It will be a wonderful place to return when school begins again and find more ways to meet my students academically and social-emotional. Technology is amazing!

Transformation

I will transform what I have learned throughout this course to include more opportunities for students to collaborate and work together with technology. I have new ideas to share with my teaching partner, as well, that we can collaborate to models for our students. If we continue to learn new things, we are showing students how important learning is and that it is continuous. This course has inspired me to reach out to new sources to create unique learning opportunities for my future students.

Implementation

My plan is to implement these new tools into my classroom and work with my teaching partner to support higher order thinking. I will purposefully design strategies that connect to real world learning. My students will use their one-to-one devices to demonstrate their understanding of learning goals and build skills for later in life. Cooperative learning tools with ways students can engage with one another is my focus for this upcoming school year. When I commit to goals, I see them through and I am so excited to begin and add more to my toolbox.
