Pedagogical Uses: Crowdsignal is a tool that can help teachers in the classroom with volunteers. There are many additional options to use for the classroom, too.

Idea 1: Ask multiple choice questions on a specific topic for a formative assessment (exit tickets).

Idea 2: Create a sign up option for virtual back to school night or conferences to share with families.

Idea 3: Have families complete a poll if they would be willing to bring in snacks for class.

Idea 4: Students use the survey to answer questions on their zone of regulation.

Why should teachers use it?

Crowdsignal is an easy online tool to create surveys or polls to send to students and families. I found this application to be very user friendly with many options for my questions. Students would be able to access through a link shared with them. One of my favorite add-ons is how it can connect to my Google account to share in Sheets. Teachers would be able to collect their data and review through Crowdsignal.

Example:

For my example, I created a Zones of Regulation quick check in for my students to complete on their iPads.

I would send the link to them at certain times of the day (morning, after lunch, and at the end of the day) to see how their mood changes.

I can take their data and track for students who having been showing greater mood changes to share with the behavior specialist or families.

In my survey, I added one multiple choice question and two free text questions.
