Skitch Description: Skitch is an editing and annotating software tool. You can use skitch to write hand-written notes on screenshots or documents. You can also add doodles to photos and share the creations with others.

Pedagogical Uses: Skitch is a tool that can be used from P-16. The ideas below are only a portion of how Skitch can be used to increase learning.
Productivity Tool: Annotate classroom worksheets to draw attention to key elements/points.
Idea 1: Open a PDF file in Skitch and type in answers to questions.
Idea 2: Display an image, screenshot, or file on Skitch and project from your iPad, annotate the image, screenshot, or file.
Idea 3: Students can use Skitch to label and identify components they are learning about.
Idea 4: Screenshot images on the computer or from websites and have students highlight and annotate their thoughts.
Teachers can use clipart in many different ways for the classroom. It allows students to use their creative side with technology and create something similar yet different to their peers. It can help visualize content for students and provide engagement because students interact with the tool. Lastly, students can show their understanding of a learning target through images they develop on Skitch.

In my example, I found a clipart photo of a butterfly. I then added text boxes and text with pink font.
I found it easier to type on a computer, rather than use my handwriting for the words.
