The Franklin & Marshall women's basketball team (10-3, 1-1 CC) prepares to return to Centennial Conference (CC) action this week with two conference matchups. The Diplomats hit the road on Wednesday to face Haverford (6-6, 0-2 CC) at 4:00 p.m., before returning to the Mayser Center on Saturday to host McDaniel (9-3, 1-1 CC) at 1:00 p.m.
Last Week
Franklin & Marshall rang in the new year with two non-conference wins over Drew and Salisbury. The Diplomats finished it 2024-25 non-conference slate with a 9-2 record.
In the 67-46 victory over Drew on New Year's Eve, F&M got off to an early start and never surrendered the lead in the contest. F&M shot an impressive 50 percent (17-of-34) from the field and 50 percent (6-of-12) from beyond the arc to outscore the Rangers, 42-23, in the first half. Overall, the Diplomats shot 40 percent (26-of-65) from the field and 36.8 percent (7-of-19) on three-pointers in the win. Franklin & Marshall began 2025 with a 64-50 win over Salisbury last Saturday. The Sea Gulls got off to a hot start, leading 11-2 at the halfway point of the first quarter. From that point, F&M began chipping away at the Salisbury lead to trail by three after 10 minutes of play. The Diplomats jumped in front of Salisbury on the scoreboard halfway through the second quarter for their first lead of the day and didn't look back. Franklin & Marshall grew its lead to as much as 21 points, shooting 39.7 percent (25-of-63) from the field and 33.3 percent (6-of-18) from beyond the arc in the contest. Lizzie Neville led F&M with 15 points, seven rebounds and four assists in the victory. Quinn Galligan notched 12 points with three three-pointers in the win. Last Time vs. Haverford
The Diplomats came out on top of a thrilling, 55-53, overtime victory over Haverford last season. Down to the wire, Neville made a tough layup in traffic to tie the game at 47-all with seconds remaining in regulation to force overtime. From that point, Neville took over the Diplomats' offense - scoring all eight of F&M's points including the game-winning jumper before time expired. Jaclyn Feit '24 led F&M with 19 points and nine rebounds, followed by Neville with 17 points, seven rebounds, and four steals. Franklin & Marshall was defeated by McDaniel, 53-39, in their last meeting during the 2023-24 season. The Diplomats struggled to make shots from the field early as the Green Terror jumped out to a 27-14 lead in the first half. F&M continued to fight, but McDaniel held off the Diplomats' comeback efforts to hold onto the victory. Haverford Team Preview
Haverford has won three of its last four games, with an 83-45 loss against No. 11 Christopher Newport last Sunday. The Fords have dropped their only other two CC games this season, falling to Muhlenberg and Ursinus in early-December. Caroline Orza leads the Fords with 15.8 points per game, shooting 36.7 percent from the field. Audrey Jakway leads the team in rebounds, averaging 7.5 boards per contest. Shae Mercer closely follows with seven rebounds per game and 4.5 assists per game.

Before McDaniel comes to Lancaster on Saturday, the Green Terror plays a road game at Salisbury on Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. McDaniel has split its only two CC games this season, falling to Dickinson, 48-45, before defeating Ursinus, 73-60.
