What is CCP?
College Credit Plus (CCP) is a program designed to help students earn college and high school credits at the same time by taking college courses from universities or community colleges before high school graduation. The purpose of the program is to promote students’ rigorous academic pursuits and to provide a wide variety of options to students to in grades 7-12 who meet college admission requirements.
What do I need to do before I apply for CCP?
Before applying for a school, you will need to attend the CCP Information Night as well as complete and submit the CCP Intent Form. Information about both of these can be found on your class level Google Classroom. The CCP Intent Form is due by April 1st.
How do I apply for CCP?
You will have to go onto the schools' individual website to apply. Here are the links to the schools most students at FHS choose to take CCP through:
Be sure to use your PERSONAL email when you apply for CCP!
I have to take a placement test before I'm accepted. How do I do that?
If your CCP application approval is contingent on you passing a placement test, you must schedule that test with the university. Here is more information on testing centers:
I'm accepted! How do I log in to my online portal?
You will receive your username and initial password in your application processed email and your acceptance letter.
How do I schedule classes?
Students are able to sign up for classes on their own or with an academic advisor. If you are attending Sinclair, we have a CCP advisor who comes into the building once a month to meet with students and answer any questions they have. For any schools besides Sinclair, you will have to reach out to an Academic Advisor, which can be found on their website.
For Sinclair students, you are welcome to email Mrs. Tabitha Shuey with any questions you have. You can reach her at tabitha.shuey@sinclair.edu.
Be sure to use your personal email or your college email to communicate with people outside of FHS!
How do I order books?
There is a step-by-step guide on how to order books from Sinclair here. If you have questions about ordering books, you will need to reach out to your college Academic Advisor. If you are attending Sinclair, you can email Mrs. Shuey at tabitha.shuey@sinclair.edu.
If you are doing CCP through another school, you will need to find your advisor's information on your colleges website and reach out to them with questions.
Be sure to use your personal email or your college email to communicate with people outside of FHS!
What if I want to take CCP classes at FHS?
All CCP classes at FHS are housed through Sinclair Community College, so you will have to apply and be accepted to Sinclair before you can take those. Once you do that, you can sign up for FHS CCP classes the same way you would sign up for any other course at FHS!
How do I get to my CCP classes?
CCP students who choose to take courses outside of FHS must provide their own transportation to their classes.
How many CCP classes can I take a year?
You can take up to 30 credit hours of courses per year (Summer-Spring). This includes any courses taken at FHS. If you take more than 30 credit hours, you will be required to pay for those courses.

I failed/withdrew from my course. What happens now?
If a student fails OR withdraws from any CCP course after the CCP-established drop date deadline, the cost for tuition, fees, and books may be charged to the student/parent.
No academic credit is awarded for a failed course or a withdrawn course
No coursework will be awarded on a pass/fail basis
If a failed course is a high school graduation requirement, it must be retaken and successfully completed before commencement.
Proper paperwork must be filed with the university to withdraw from a course. Upon withdrawal, the student must schedule a meeting with the FHS counselor to develop a new schedule and, if necessary, a new graduation plan.
CCP courses and their associated grades will be reported on both the high school transcript and the college transcript, including failures and withdrawals.
Failure to satisfactorily complete a college course for FHS credit may result in (but may not be limited to) the following consequences:
Fees associated with the dropped/failed class will be assessed
Loss of athletic/extracurricular eligibility
Negative effect on GPA and class rank
Failure to meet high school graduation requirements
Loss of commencement participation privileges
My question wasn't answered here. Where do I go?

Otherwise, you will need to find your advisor's information on your college's website and reach out to them with questions.
Be sure to use your personal email or your college email to communicate with people outside of FHS!
