Fifth Grade

Mrs. Sarah Schaetzel-Daily

Hello! My name is Mrs. Daily and this is my third year teaching at Scott Elementary Schoo. I am so excited to be a part of the 5th-grade team once again!

I graduated from Ball State University in December 2020 with my Bachelor's in Elementary Education and a concentration in Psychology and Counseling and am currently working toward my Masters at Ball State in Educational Technology!

A few things about me are I have the sweetest cat at home named Quincy, I  love to read (my goal this year is 50 books, and I love to sing and dance (so song requests are welcome)! In my free time, you can find me relaxing at home with my favorite show, or working alongside my husband with the North Green Brigade Marching Band!

My goal is for every student to want to come to school every single day because they are just having so much fun learning. I hope that I can bring a smile to their face and have them help me bring learning to life. I'm looking forward to another year at Scott School!

Go Tigers!

Ms. Dee Decker

Hi!  My name is Ms. Decker and I have been teaching at Scott School since 2001.  I attended the University of Southern Indiana and graduated with a BS in Elementary Education and a MS in Elementary Education.

I enjoy spending time with my family, taking my dog, Riley, on walks around my neighborhood, and working in my yard.

I have a long history with Scott Elementary!  I attended 1st through 8th grade at Scott School and completed my student teaching here too.  Both of my children, Drew and Laura, were Scott Tigers as well.

It really is true...Once a tiger...ALWAYS a tiger!

My hope is that each student enjoys coming to class and learns something new each day.

Mrs. Michelle Godsey

Welcome, fellow Tigers! I am Mrs. Godsey, and this is my 7th year doing what I love!

I began teaching Fourth grade in St. Petersburg, Florida. Since I have been at Scott, I have taught 6th Grade ELA /Social Studies, and 5th Grade!  I am proud to continue to be a Tiger for a 6th year!

I grew up in Charlotte,  North Carolina and went to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Major in K-6 Elementary Education and a Minor in Children's Literature and Childhood Studies. After I graduated, I moved to St. Pete, but I found myself calling Evansville my home a year later. My husband, Chris, and I got married in November 2021, and we have a sweet, little one year old daughter, Emerson!

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, and my favorite dog in the world, Cali! I also love attending sporting events, being outdoors, and watching movies.

My goal is that every student walks out of my classroom with a smile on their face because they learned something, and had fun while doing it! I am super excited to continue my journey at Scott this year! Ready, set, let's learn!
