Hello! I am looking forward to joining the first grade team at Scott School! I received my bachelor's degree from Marshall University in Huntington, WV and my master's and doctorate from the University of Kentucky in  Lexington, KY. Throughout my career, I have worked in a variety of teaching positions in elementary and higher education. Most recently, I have been teaching kindergarten and first grade at EVSC's Virtual Academy. I am looking forward to being back in the elementary classroom!

I have one daughter, Anna, who will be in third grade at Scott in the fall. We have a golden retriever named, Skye. In the evenings and weekends, I like to spend time outdoors, whether at soccer games, at the pool, in my flower & vegetable gardens, or on a bike ride with my daughter. 

I'm really looking forward to having your child in class and getting to be a part of those special years when your child learns to read!

I have a Bachelor's degree from the University of Southern Indiana and  a Masters degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.  I have 32 years of teaching experience with 28 of those being at Scott Elementary School.  I have three awesome children and one precious grandchild.  I absolutely love teaching, but when I am not teaching I am enjoying farm life, reading, or attending tractor pulls with my family.

It is hard to believe that I've been teaching in the EVSC for over 35 years!  I'm so blessed to teach first graders in the Panda Patch at Scott School. I'm delighted to watch our children blossom into confident readers, writers and mathematicians.

I graduated from the University of Evansville with both my undergraduate and masters degrees. I am married to my husband Rick who owns Mills- Wallace architectural firm. We have a son David Mills who is a great golfer and we love to follow his adventures.  We share our lives with 2 funny boxers named TaylorMade and Cali. I'm excited to welcome a new group of children into our Panda Patch!
