Hello Scott Tiger Community!
My name is Don Bancroft, and it is a privilege for me to teach 4th grade at Scott Elementary. I did a long term substitute teaching position last year beginning in January and fell in love with Scott Elementary. After 24 years of teaching in Missouri, my wife and I moved back to Evansville where our kids and grandkids live. I’ve had various elementary responsibilities in Missouri including: 2nd grade for one year, 5th grade for two years, assistant principal for three years, and 3rd grade for 18 years.
I decided to UN-retire because I missed teaching kids. I’m excited to meet and work with students, parents, staff and the Scott school community.

Here's a little bit about me... This will be my 24th year of teaching and my 20th year as a Scott Tiger! I absolutely love Scott School, and I hope you do as well. I attended the University of Evansville where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a specialty in reading, and I have a Master's Degree in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University. I've taught 1st-5th, but I love 4th grade best!
My husband, Ben, and I have 3 children- Sam, Delaney, and Preston. We have 4 fur babies, too. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. My husband and I also own Garland Vision.
I'm looking forward to a great school year! Go tigers!🐾
Hello fellow Tigers!! I am so excited to return to Scott this year! Last semester I was a long term substitute in 4th grade, I’m so excited to join the team this year!
I grew up in Evansville starting my journey as Scott Tiger and ending as a Central Bear! After graduation I moved to Nashville to attend Lipscomb University. After graduating college and living in Nashville for 6 and a half years, I felt it was time to move back closer to family !
Outside of school I enjoy playing pickle ball, sewing, and of course trying every new icecream flavor in town!
I can’t wait to meet you all and get the year started! See you soon!
