Fourth Grade

Mrs. Amy Garland

Here's a little bit about me... This will be my 24th year of teaching and my 20th year as a Scott Tiger! I absolutely love Scott School, and I hope you do as well. I attended the University of Evansville where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a specialty in reading, and I have a Master's Degree in Education from Indiana Wesleyan University. I've taught 1st-5th, but I love 4th grade best!

My husband, Ben, and I have 3 children- Sam, Delaney, and Preston. We have 4 fur babies, too. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats. My husband and I also own Garland Vision.

I'm looking forward to a great school year! Go tigers!🐾

Mrs. Janae Giesler

I am Janae Giesler, and I am thrilled to be returning for my fourth year teaching 4th grade at Scott School! For my undergrad, I attended Ball State University where I double majored in Elementary Education and Special Education. I received my master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Cincinnati to obtain my principal's license.

I have previously taught 2nd and 4th grade in EVSC at Glenwood Leadership Academy, and I spent a year teaching 6th grade English Language Arts at Scottsburg Middle School.

I enjoy spending time outside with our two-year old, black, Labrador retriever, Rye. I also enjoy crafting, refinishing furniture, spending time with family, and playing/coaching volleyball. I also coach our 6th grade girls volleyball and basketball teams.

I am so eager to welcome this new group of 4th graders into my classroom. I strive to establish a classroom environment that fosters a love for learning where students feel safe and empowered to take risks, grow, and take ownership over their potential.

Mrs. Madison Harness

Hello! My name is Madison Harness.

I grew up in Evansville, starting as a student at Scott School and graduating from EVSC as a North High School Alumni.

Since then, I graduated from Murray State University with a bachelors degree in elementary education. After graduating college, my husband and I have lived in Alabama and Kentucky, where I taught 4th and 2nd grade.

We are so excited to be back in my hometown and just as excited to be back at Scott School, as a teacher this time!

I am excited to welcome my class of 4th grade Tigers into my classroom and to watch them grow. It’s going to be a great year!
