Primary teachers complete 2 x PPM assessments during the year, one in October/November, one in March/April. The two class teachers meet to discuss the progress of each pupil and should alert the Head and SENDCo of any concerns. There are therefore 4 periods in the year when children are assessed: PPM1, Spring Report, PPM2 (in previous years sometimes called PPM3), End of Year Report.
In the PPM assessments, each child is evaluated using European Grades (EG, denoted by +++) for all subjects, with the exception of Listening & Understanding and Speaking in their stream language (SL). These two subjects are assessed using The Common European Framework for Languages (CEFL) for KS2 which can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_European_Framework_of_Reference_for_Languages
And Grade 1 to 5 for KS1:
1: New to SL
2: Early acquisition
3: Developing competence
4: Competent
5: Fluent
All stream language subjects are found under the stream language teacher. ALL other subjects English, Maths, Sciences are found under the English teachers name.
