How to access to Child Plus
Child Plus is the data management system that is utilized by Region 16 Head Start. The information entered into Child Plus is transferred to the Head Start Enterprise System which is how Region 16 Head Start self reports compliance. This is in essence the Region 16 Head Start "report card" to the Office of Head Start. It is important that each employee understands his/her role and what, when, and how to input information.
Child Plus can be accessed in two ways:

Agency ID: Region16
User Name: First Initial capitalized, last name with first letter capitalized. Example: Danee' Puga DPuga
Password: Will be sent to you from one of the following.

New employees will be added upon hiring. After your account is set up, you will receive an email with your log in credentials.

E-Books
Child Plus has created many user manuals called E-books designed for specific entry topics.
The E-books are available for both the online and desktop version.
These are basic guides to using Child Plus.
Caution: These E-books are created for every Head Start/Early Head Start program that uses Child Plus. Our Region 16 Head Start may have specific instructions for certain documentation types. The E-books should be used as a guide; however, staff need to check with specialists and/or coordinators before entering information.

Tips and Reminders
Don't share user name and password with anyone.
Child Plus administrators don't know passwords. To reset password, follow the steps on the Child Plus website.
Child Plus administrators can assign a new password if needed.
