From the Head Start Performance Standards

HEAD START IA

• have a child development associate (CDA) credential or a state-awarded certificate that meets or exceeds the requirements for a CDA credential,

Documentation needed for verification:

 Certificate of CDA or state-awarded certificate 

• are enrolled in a program that will lead to an associate or baccalaureate degree; or,

Documentation needed for verification

• 1. 1. 1. Current transcript/degree plan and/

        2. College schedule each semester

• are enrolled in a CDA credential program to be completed within two years of the time of hire

Evidence that you are currently enrolled or

EHS Center-Based Staff (Teacher and IA where applicable) must have a minimum of:

 Child Development Associate (CDA)

or comparable credential

 enroll in one of the Region 16 EHS options for CDA or if wanting to verify your other credentials/coursework/associates, Click here to contact Jerriann or call at 806-677-5422. 

Home Educators

Have a minimum of a home-based CDA credential or comparable credential equivalent coursework as part of an associate's or bachelor's degree
