Science: front-load or reinforce vocabulary, deepen understanding of key concepts by sorting examples (e.g., examples of dependent vs. independent variables)
Social Studies: use words to predict and activate background knowledge about a current or historical event, reinforce key concepts (e.g., types of governments)
Math: sort operation words (e.g., quotient, sum, divisor, factor), geometry terms, balanced equations, etc.
