To finish off Health Week, we had a very busy Sports Day with lots of station activities, races and yoga. We had lots of fun and tried our best!
We have been revising data handling, using tally marks to record mini beasts that we saw outside in the nature garden. P1 saw lots of slugs, ladybirds and a few bees!
For Health week, we have had the opportunity to try out hip hop dance moves with Dance Craze Dance Academy from Eaglesham, handball with Brandon from Active Schools and Judo from Newton Mearns. We have had such an active week, and enjoyed exploring new skills!
It was fun getting to try out different hip hop moves with P1.1!
We have continued to develop our athletic skills by exploring different races and using a beanbag for different balances. We have been enjoying spending time with P1 during P.E!
We have been enjoying playing with the new playground games in the P2 playground and wanted to have a go at the new playground markings in the upper playground. We took some beanbags with us to practise our target throwing and addition skills.
Our last trip to the library in P1! Next time you visit the library will have had an upgrade - very exciting! We enjoyed our last visit to June, listening to farm animal stories and singing farm songs.
In the MUGA we have been sharing the space with P1.1 and practising different races for Sports Day.
In PE we have been developing our athletic skills, improving our target shooting skills using a variety of equipment. We moved round different activity stations in groups.
We have been revising 2D shapes and 3D objects. During outdoor learning we went on a shape hunt and recorded our findings.
