Our August Learning

As we now have most photo consents given, you can now fully see what your child has been up to already in Primary 1. Feel free to show the photos to your child and discuss their ideas and learning as a family.

L: We were building blocks.

C: We was building a dinosaur jungle.

M: We were playing the game.

R: We were playing with the stones and we were playing mums and dads.

A: I was playing with the little jigsaw.

M: I was making a nest.

I was building a bed for my kitty.

I was making people with the playdough.

I was playing with the sand.

I was doing colouring in for my mummy.

RG: We were playing mums and dads again.

I was drawing my Mother Hubbard really good with spotty dresses.

D: We were playing with the porridge.

IM: We have to stick the car on board.

AC: It shows we did our task.

RG: We were playing sisters and we was reading stories.

I was writing letters.

I made a castle.

R: We were playing with playdough and making cookies.

Outdoor P.E.

We have been developing our balancing skills using the trim trail as part of our weekly outdoor play.

Some of us even had a go at the monkey bars to show off our strength!

Our Weekly Reflection

This week in Primary 1 I have been proud of myself...

IM: I'm proud of myself getting a certificate.
OC: I love playing with the blocks. I was proud clicking them together.
RG: I was playing with toys outside and I was proud of myself with the skipping ropes.
LS: I was playing gently with others.
DM: I found the magical mess.
AC: Doing super walking.
CF: I am proud because I was being good in the story corner.

Throwback to our First Day of School!

Now that some photo permissions have been received, we can share some lovely memories from our first day of school! (Please note your child's photo can be added on once all permissions have been sent back to school.)

P1 Reflection Time

In P1 so far we have enjoyed...

RS: My favourite things is playing with my friends.
LA: Drawing Club and playing with my friends.
AC: I like going to CASS.
FH: I liked P.E.
MF: I like having play dates with my friends.
OH: Sharing playdough.
DM: I like going outside.
IB: I liked being outside and playing with my friends.
IM: I like playing with the sand with my friends.
FMS: I like playing with the water with LS.
LS: I like playing with FMS or I like playing in the story corner.

CF is looking forward to our party when we earn 25 wings!

Welcome to our class blog!

We have been very busy already in P1.2 learning lots of new routines, meeting new people and developing many different skills. Here are a few pictures of what we have been up to! More pictures will be added once photo permissions have been returned.

Drawing Club

We listened to the story Each Peach Pear Plum and drew a picture of Mother Hubbard in our brand new jotters. We thought of a special password and passcode to use our imagination and think about what could happen to Mother Hubbard. Mrs Wallace wrote down our ideas.

Numeracy

We are exploring numbers and on Monday we learned to correctly write the number 1.

The rhyme is 'Start at the top and down we run, that's the way we make a one!'

On Friday we went outdoors to the nature garden to make the numbers 0, 1 and 2 using outdoor materials!

Isabella made a zero!

Leo noticed that the tyre looks like a zero!

We noticed the big log looked like a one!

Flora made a 0, 1 and 2!
