School Lunches

All children in primary 1 – primary 5 are entitled to a free school meal. We operate a family service at Carlibar. Children have a choice of a hot meal with soup, dessert and a drink. Fresh fruit, crudités and bread are also available on the tables. All foods are freshly prepared each day within the school kitchen. Menus are available on the East Renfrewshire Council website.

If the school catering staff have prior notification, any child needing a special diet can be catered for. Children who bring packed lunches have their lunch in the dining hall. In Carlibar, the eating of lunch is a social occasion where staff and children meet in a less formal setting. We ask that parents support this policy by encouraging good table manners and eating habits at home.

Primary 6 and 7 children of parents receiving certain benefits are entitled to a lunch without charge. For further information please click here.

We operate a cashless system in the school called Parent Pay which:

· Enables you to pay for school meals, educational excursions and other school items.

· Displays all payments that you have made.

· Enables you to create a single account login for all of your children.

· Displays all items available for payment relevant to each of your children.

· Sends a receipt of your payment to the email address registered to the account.

· Provides the ability to set automate email payment reminders.
