Being able to create digital images can be a great way to incorporate art into any classroom. Art and design teachers may also find the following applications helpful as we turn to the digital age. Some digital drawing applications are very basic while others allow you to upload and edit current pictures or works of art to create your own original masterpiece.
Google Draw: Part of the Google Applications for Education Suite, this is a simple drawing application. Drawings created in Google Draw are automatically added to your Google Drive. You can create screen shots with arrows or manipulate a photo of your choice from the web. It is fairly versatile but does not have the more advanced tools of a more qualified drawing app. Great for beginners.
