What is Blended Learning?

Somewhere along the line the definition of Blended Learning has become very intimidating and then very muddled with other educational terms such as "Personalized Learning". So what is Blended Learning and does it mean we throw away all non technology based teaching methods? Introduction to Blended Learning

This presentation includes the district vision for Blended Learning in a draft form and definitions and clarification for several terms including Blended Learning, Personalization, and models for each. The SAMR model for Technology Integration is also included.

S.A.M.R Model for Technology Integration: The SAMR model stands for the various levels of technology integration teachers can be operating at in the classroom. Teachers start off at using technology to substitute traditional teaching materials and work toward redefining instruction in the classroom so that the experiences that the students have could not be possible without technology.

Kahn Academy and The Christensen Institute

The Christiensen Institute is one of the best resources for Blended Learning information and resources. In a partnership with Khan Academy they have put together some learning videos to help educators to better understand what Blended Learning is and how Blended Learning looks in classrooms.
