The EPISD Teaching & Learning Department is dedicated to supporting curriculum implementation, High-Quality Instructional Materials (HQIM), and effective teaching strategies across the district. Our team—led by an Assistant Superintendent and composed of directors, coordinators, and facilitators—works collaboratively to deliver impactful professional development for teachers, instructional coaches, and administrators.

Curriculum Development: Creation of standards-based curriculum, unit assessments, and district benchmarks to guide instruction and measure progress.
Professional Development: Monthly training for coaches and leadership sessions to strengthen instructional practices.
Individual & Small-Group Coaching Support: Tiered assistance for instructional coaches based on campus needs and STAAR data.
Data-Driven Support: Academic responses and analysis protocols to help campuses interpret benchmark data and improve student outcomes.
Intervention Resources: Guidance and support for interventionists to meet diverse student needs.
STEM Academy Support: Providing resources, training, and personnel to advance STEM initiatives districtwide.
Vendor Partnerships: Managing contracts to ensure access to academic resources and related professional development.
