Internship Options (Community/ External) & Work Based Learning

Epic College and Career Readiness Events Calendar

An internship is a professional position where a student works in an organization, sometimes without pay, in order to gain work experience or satisfy requirements for a qualification. Work Based Learning is an education strategy that provides students with real-life work experience where they apply academic and technical skills to develop their employability.  Students earn elective credit towards high school graduation when they engage in one of these opportunities for a minimum of 60 hours and complete all the required assignments.

When seeking a work-based learning or internship opportunity, please secure a position first. You may refer to the resources and opportunities section of this website to assist you. Once the students schedule reflects either internship or work based learning, they will be loaded in a Schoology classroom. This Schoology classroom will be pre-loaded with all the required assignments and forms.
