Support Provided to Our Epic High School Students
Teacher
A student's teacher is the main contact for high school students. They work collaboratively with additional support areas to ensure each student is provided an individualized, well rounded and appropriate education.
Families and students are encouraged to discuss their high school and post high school plans with their teacher multiple times a year.
Graduation Support Specialist
Epic high school students are assigned a Graduation Support Specialist (GSS). The student's GSS holds the student's graduation check, assuring that the student is meeting all high school graduation requirements.
The GSS can also advise students regarding classes that are still needed to meet graduation requirements.
The student's GSS is also responsible for all scheduling for the student.
College and Career Advisor
All Epic 8th - 12th grade students are supported by an assigned College and Career Advisor (CCA).
Advisors meet periodically with student to complete their Individual Career and Academic Plan (ICAP).
Advisors ensure students are enrolled in appropriate postsecondary courses. They provide recommendations to families, students and teachers.
Advisors provide education and advocacy around post secondary education.
College and Career Specialists
Epic is excited to share a robust offering of Postsecondary Opportunities (PSO) for 9th-12th grade students.
Each PSO has a specialist that is available to help guide and support students through eligibility, advisement, and provide resources. Our Transition Specialist provides additional support for Epic Seniors.
The College and Career Catalog has a brief description of the PSO opportunities for 9th-12th grade Epic students. Students and families can also find resources and contact information in the catalog.
