What is TEL?
TEL is an Oklahoma City-based organization that offers affordable learning for the 21st Century. TEL offers college-level classes to high school students, which can transfer to other higher education institutions.
EXCITING NEWS FOR THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR!
- 9th Graders can now enroll in select TEL courses (see below).
- 9th Graders can apply for EPIC Collegiate Academy (ECA) during their Freshman Year (see below).
- 10th Graders need no approval to take TEL Courses.
TEL Eligibility Requirements
How Do I Enroll?
Students must meet at least one of the following:
- High School GPA—3.0 or above
- ACT—19 composite
- PSAT/NMSQT—990 composite
- Doing well in EPIC model, good attendance and engagement. The student has a desire to attend college and commitment to the program.
The student's teacher must submit a TEL ticket. Teachers must charge the studentsLearning fund.
Course Offerings
TEL Information
Student will a receive welcome TEL email to student's EPIC Gmail account the first day of the course with log in instructions and to access courses.
Student will be required to follow the course pacing guide.
Mid-term and Final Exams are both proctored online and require an ID and webcam.
The student will earn high school and college credit for the course. The grade earned will be put on the student's high school and college transcripts.
If a student withdraws from Epic after the final TEL withdrawal date, s/he may complete the TEL course for credit. If the student wants to exit the course, they must contact TEL & Oklahoma Christian University to inform them of the Epic withdrawal.

TEL classes will end at 11:59 pm on Friday, May 17th.
There will be no extensions or incompletes given for work that is not done by the May 17th deadline. All assignments must be submitted and exams completed by 11:59 pm.
Ticket submitted/ILP completed to be included in TEL 1st start date: July 31st
Ticket submitted/ILP completed to be included in TEL 2nd start date: August 14th
TEL 1st Start: August 14th
TEL 2nd Start: August 28th
Fall 2024 TEL classes end: December 18th
