The Bulls take a tough loss against The Nets:

The United Center was going crazy for a national TV showdown between the top two teams in the Eastern Conference on Wednesday. Although the game was going well and living up to the hype for the first half, everything went downhill for the Bulls in the second, resulting in the Bulls taking an ugly 138-112 defeat. At one point it was tied at 71-71, only for the Nets to take the lead and score about 40 points in the last quarter. The bulls being the number 1 seed in the east and taking a 22-0 run on their own court was hard to watch.

The big three of the Nets were on the floor for the second time this season. KD and Harden were cooking the Bulls all night, with Chicago’s lazy defense. Derrick Jones Jr. went down in the opening minute with a nasty knee injury which was absolutely unexpected.

Durant got straight into business, scoring 27 points on 7/10 shooting with ease. KD almost had a double double with 9 assists. Harden was on fire with 25 points, 16 assists, and 7 rebounds. While Irving didn’t go too deep into the scoreboard, he still had 9 points on 4/10 shooting.

The nets were on fire in the 3rd quarter. They had no turnovers, 5/9 from 3 point range, and sliced the defense right open. This definitely got into the Bulls head, which explains why they were shooting 1/9 from 3 and had 6 turnovers.

LaVine ended the game with 22 points, DeRozan had 19, Coby White 16, and Nikola Vucevic 14.

Unfortunately Derrick Jones Jr. went down in the opening minutes of the game. With Derrick Jones Jr., Lonzo Ball, and Alex Caruso out the Bulls struggled to control the pace of the game. The Nets took advantage and got to work.
