This explains Rachel supported Jackie by going to all the games she could. Messi also got support from his family. According to TRIBUNA.com, "The 86 team, a year older than me, was playing and they needed a player so my grandmother told the coach to "put him (Messi) in". This explains that he got support from his family. Jackie Robinson was determined to overcome his challenges. Jackie Robinson.com says, "Above anything I hate to lose". This explains that Jackie was determined to always win and succeed. Lionel Messi was also determined to play at an older age. Lionel Messi has said he will not retire from international football after scoring twice as Argentina lifted the 2022 World Cup in a thrilling penalty shootout victory over France." This explains that despite Messi getting older, he has no plans to quit the sport that he loves. 

Lionel Mess and Jackie Robinson excelled in different sports. Jackie played baseball for many years. Britanicca.com tells us, "He played as an infielder and outfielder for the Dodgers from 1947 through 1956." This explains that Jackie was such a good player that the Dodgers kept him for many years. According to JackieRobinson.org, "Jackie Robinson was born on January 31, 1919, in Cairo, Georgia." This tells us that Jackie was born in America. Lionel Messi was born in Argentina. Biography.com says, "Messi was born on June 24, 1987,  in Rosario, Argentina." This explains he was born in Argentina, which is a country in South America.
