David Goggins and Jackie Robinson both had diseases they struggled with. They also both had great support from their family. David Goggins is a cross-country runner, who played many sports and was a Navy Seal. He overcame physical disabilities. Goggins has participated in over 60 Ultra Marathons. He holds the Genius World Record in pull-ups at 4,030 pull-ups in 17 hours. David Goggins is a retired Navy Seal.
David Goggins and Jackie Robinson both broke barriers with the support of their families. Jackie Robinson would not have been able to do what he did without the support of his wife. Activelylearn.com states, "But Jackie could not have done what he did without the support of his wife, Rachel." This explains that the support from his wife helped him succeed in breaking the barrier. David Goggins wife was also really supportive of his career. Gazzlilonns.com states, "She (his wife) does seem to do a great job of supporting his passion." This means his wife really supported his passion. David and Jackie were both talented baseball players. This tells us he is now honored for breaking the color barrier. David got the two-letter award for baseball and cross-country. Angelosports.com states, "Two-letter winner in baseball." This explains he was good at baseball he won a two-letter winner.
Jackie and David both served in the Armed Forces of our country. Jackie was forced to join the army. Asomf.org states, "Jackie Robinson was drafted on April 3, 1942." This explains he did not choose the join the army, he was drafted or chosen to join. David chose to join the Navy Seals. On larn.org it says, "David Goggins is a retired Navy Seal and is the only member of the u.s forces to complete training." This explains he was not forced to join the Navy or the Seals, he wanted to. David and Jackie both suffered from medical conditions that made their health suffer. Jackie was diagnosed with two diseases. This explains that Jackie suffered from medical conditions that ultimately ended his life at an early age. David has had many health obstacles in his life that he had to overcome. This shows us that David was a very determined man and overcame many health challenges in life.
